Frances’ performance career spans over 50 years, during which time, she has appeared in many stage plays, including JB Priestley’s Music at Night as Mrs Amesbury, Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit, Mrs Elvsted in Hedda Gabler, Miss McKay in the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Mrs Hepworth in Hobsons Choice, and most recently as several contrasting ensemble characters in The Memory of Rain. Performances in Shakespeare plays include tours of A Midsummer Nights Dream (Titania), Merchant of Venice (Portia) and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth.

As an accomplished performer of historical dance, Frances has appeared in the UK and abroad, and manages to combine her experience in Commedia Dell Arte with dance performances as several Commedia characters including Columbine. Her singing experience includes long memberships of several choirs as well as musical theatre productions of Calamity Jane (Rattlesnake) and Singing in the Rain (Dora Bailey/Miss Dinsmore). Frances is an experienced musical hall artist, performing a variety of characters, and is passionate about interpreting vintage and historical songs.
